ScottishPower is energising women’s football through partnerships with Scottish Women’s Football and Scottish Women’s Premier League.
In June 2023, ScottishPower announced a three-year partnership deal with Scottish Women’s Football (SWF) and the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL). Our partnership is dedicated to energising women’s football at every age and stage of the game
As part of our focus on diversity and inclusion, we are committed to supporting equality for women, and are proud to become the first Principal Partner for Scottish Women’s Football and the Scottish Women’s Premier League. As part of our partnership, we will also sponsor the Scottish Youth Challenge Cups at all three age groups and the Scottish Women’s Highlands and Islands League.
We are working closely with both SWF and the SWPL to support the women’s game for current players and future generations, and we want to increase visibility of the game and promote equality and diversity from grassroots to the elite level. All of our investment in sponsorship fees will directly benefit women and girls across Scotland.
The partnership is dedicated to further developing the women's game by supporting the SWPL and its 20 member clubs as well as creating opportunities to inspire more young girls into the game, including in remote communities across the Highlands & Islands.
