ScottishPower Foundation announces winners of annual ceremony.
An awards fund of £30,000, which will be shared amongst seven UK charities, was announced at the ScottishPower Foundation Awards that took place in Glasgow last night (7 Nov).
Ranging from community arts centres, health charities and educational programmes, the national projects were recognised at a ceremony which took place at the new HQ of ScottishPower – the funder of the ScottishPower Foundation.
The ScottishPower Foundation was established in 2013 to support charitable projects and reinforce the energy company’s commitment to charitable work throughout the UK. The Awards ceremony is now in its fourth year and has become a yearly platform celebrate the work of the projects which the Foundation has provided funding to during 2017. This year it donated more than £1.8M to 26 organisations.
Community Impact and Engagement Award

Runner Up – National Theatre of Scotland
Education Partnership Award
Winner – Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland
Runner Up – Children’s University Scotland
Innovative Project Award
Winner – Theatr Clywd
Runner Up – Music in Hospitals and Care
Charity Champion
Winner – Music in Hospitals and Care
Runner Up – Alzheimer Scotland
The winner of each category received an additional £5,000 funding boost with four runners-up receiving £2,500 each for their charity.
