At ScottishPower we believe that fair and transparent wholesale energy markets are in the best long-term interests of all stakeholders, especially our customers.
We believe that it’s important that stakeholders can have confidence that wholesale energy markets are operating in a fair manner. To this end, it’s important that relevant information is published in a timely manner on activities which may impact market prices.
Detailed data regarding our generation activities and retail volumes is already centrally reported on behalf of market participants by Elexon and National Grid. However, in 2011 we started to publish more details regarding our generation and gas storage assets in order to further improve transparency.
The information below has been provided to comply with Article 4 of REGULATION (EU) No 1227/2011 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 25 October 2011 on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT) and Article 17(2) of REGULATION (EU) No 596/2014 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 16 April 2014 on Market Abuse Regulation(MAR).
