This offers young people aged 16–19 a solid foundation and an essential first step into the dynamic and rewarding engineering industry. It combines on-site technical skills training with academic studies.

Pre-Apprenticeship

A summer placement provides students in education with the opportunity to gain good quality work experience within the industry/discipline they are studying and lasts around 12 weeks.

Summer Placement

Part of a UK-wide scheme delivered by the Engineering Development Trust (EDT), the YII is designed for post-A-Level, Higher, and Advanced Higher school leavers, undergraduates and graduates seeking placements within STEM workplaces.

Year in Industry

The Power Academy scholarship allows students to explore their interests, develop work-based skills, and potentially secure a position in the energy industry, all while receiving paid placements and financial support.

Power Academy

The Master Scholarship provides financial support for master students studying courses in the UK relating to renewable energy, data/IT and engineering. Scholars also receive company mentor support and potential employment opportunities.

Master Scholarship

This programme provides those who have taken a career break of two years or more with opportunities to re-enter the STEM industry through structured support and a paid work placement.
