COVID- 19 Risk Assessments

ScottishPower have carried out risk assessments for our work activities related to entering a customer’s property and have identified and established all appropriate control measures to manage the COVID-19 risk in line with Government guidance. A little extra help to support customers facing difficulties paying energy bills

Over 170,000 customers have accessed a number of additional measures that our Retail business has put in place to support customers who are having difficulty paying energy bills during this time.

Our extra assistance package includes additional support for vulnerable customers with pre-payment meters, the ability to take a payment holiday with an extended payback period and flexibility to reduce monthly payments to a more affordable level. We're here to help.

Our commitment to keeping electricity flowing and supporting customers through COVID-19 outbreak

SP Energy Networks has fully mobilised contingency plan to ensure that 3.5 million homes and businesses maintain their electricity supply throughout the crisis.

As the electricity distributor for vital services, we have introduced special measures to protect supply for critical national infrastructure and public service sites; including hospitals, nursing homes, food supply chain businesses Ministry of Defence sites and prisons.
