2019 Supplier of the Year Awards
ScottishPower, Iberdrola group's subsidiary in the United Kingdom, has presented its Suppliers of the Year Awards in a ceremony that recognized the dedication and quality of work of its suppliers in nine categories: Delivery of Service (Domestic & General Services Limited), Innovation (Censis Limited), Best SME (BV Associates Limited), Health and Safety (FCE Projects Limited), Sustainability (Keltbray Aspire Limited), Employment Generation (Iceni Marine Services Limited), Customer Service (Luddon Construction Limited), Collaborative Working (Noel Regan & Sons Building & Civil Engineering and Contractors UK Limited) and Equipment & Materials (Nexans).
Iberdrola España also presented its Supplier of the Year last October, with awards going to 11 of its suppliers for their support in its strategy to lead the energy transition. Each year, the company purchases more than 1.5 billion euros worth of goods and services from its suppliers. The Special Best Supplier Award 2019 went to Eiffage Energía, who collaborate with the company in the areas of renewables and distribution networks. This year, the company also wanted to recognize FCC Industrial for its collaboration in the emergency response efforts during the severe floods in Murcia and the Valencian Community earlier this year.
In September, Neoenergia presented the Supplier of the Year Award, which on this occasion went to ALUBAR, a manufacturer of electric cables. Iberdrola's Brazilian subsidiary evaluated some 100 suppliers based on criteria such as infrastructure, logistics, quality of service, safety, social and environmental practices and ethics. From among these it awarded a total of ten companies in ten categories.
The Mexican subsidiary of the Iberdrola group has held in May its 2019 Supplier of the Year Awards, through which it recognises Mexican suppliers that share the company's commitment to the Mexico's industrial fabric and to social responsibility. In 2018, the Mexican subsidiary made purchases worth US$1.13 billion, 70% of them from companies from the country. In addition, the company plans to invest US$5 billion over the next six years in generation projects, of which at least US$3 billion will go to Mexican suppliers.
2018 Global Supplier of the Year Awards
Iberdrola handed over its 2018 Global Supplier of the Year Awards, whose purpose is to incentivize, promote and acknowledge the work of its suppliers, key to achieving the company' strategic objectives.
he event took place at the auditorium of Iberdrola's Campus in San Agustín del Guadalix (Madrid), was attended by some 340 guests, including representatives of 167 global suppliers of the group across different countries and industries. Also in attendance were the Chairman of the Iberdrola group, Ignacio Galán.
Ignacio Galán, Chairman of Iberdrola: "With our suppliers we are addressing the important challenges posed by the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Companies are making a key contribution to the realisation of the new agenda."
Iberdrola, which provides jobs for 425,000 people through its global procurement, closed the Fiscal year 2018 with contracts worth €8 billion by the year's end to thousands of suppliers around the world.

Most of the contracts benefitted suppliers from the company's core countries — the United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Spain —, as well as companies from countries where the group is developing major initiatives, such as Portugal and France.

- Diversity and Equality: ITB Equipamentos (Brazil)
- Occupational Health and Safety: Brown & Mason (United Kingdom)
- Construction Services: Socorpena (Portugal)
- Internationalisation: Ibermática (Spain)
