Human Resources Director

Hamish Watson was appointed our UK Human Resources Director in May 2015, with responsibility for all aspects of HR including Learning & Development, Pensions and, most importantly, Health & Safety. Hamish also oversees the Property & Estates, Fleet and Facilities teams.

Hamish originally joined ScottishPower in 2009 as HR Operations Director, where he had responsibility for HR operations, ER & engagement, reward & pensions and shared services.  Prior to joining ScottishPower, Hamish held a variety of roles, both within and outside HR, in the FMCG and financial sectors.

Hamish is married with 2 sons and in his spare time enjoys rugby (only spectating nowadays!) and running.

In addition to his Honours degree, Hamish holds a post-graduate diploma in Human Resource Management. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, and also completed the Global Leadership Programme at IMD, Lausanne.
