About the ScottishPower Foundation

The ScottishPower Foundation was established in March 2013 and reinforces our commitment to support charitable work throughout Britain.

ScottishPower Foundation is a registered Scottish charity (SC043862) and a company limited by guarantee (SC445116). Registered Office: 320 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5AD.

The Foundation provides funding to registered charities for the following purposes:

  • the advancement of education
  • the advancement of environmental protection
  • the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science
  • the prevention or relief of poverty and the relief of those in need by reason of disability or other disadvantage
  • the advancement of citizenship and community development.

Decisions to award funding by the ScottishPower Foundation are made independently of ScottishPower by an experienced Board of Trustees who have a special interest in the above areas.

Ethics and Speaking Out

To promote legal and regulatory compliance and the highest standards of ethical conduct, the ScottishPower Foundation has established an Ethics Mailbox to allow for any concerns to be raised arising from the management and operation of the Foundation. The Ethics Mailbox is a confidential and transparent means of reporting:
A.    illegal behaviour or behaviour that is suspected of being illegal;
B.    unethical behaviour; or
C.    behaviour which contravenes the standards of conduct set out in our Good Governance Code, Code of Ethics, or any other relevant policy.

All reports will be treated as confidential, and we will never take any form of retaliation against any person who has made a report in good faith. Reports can be made anonymously, although we do encourage reporters to name themselves where they are comfortable doing so, as this can allow for a fuller investigation of issues.
