Glasgow Science Centre is holding its first online science festival, Curious About Our Planet between 18 – 20 February, which aims to celebrate the wonders of our planet and the science of climate change, all from the safety and comfort of home.
Our Social Projects and Education team were delighted to learn that eleven of the pictures entered into their own climate change competition for kids have been selected to feature in the festival.
The team's entries, drawn by the children of our employees, show a range of colourful illustrations inspired by climate action and the importance of protecting our environment. The fantastic efforts made by these five to sixteen year olds can be viewed online at the event.
Other festival contributors include WWF Scotland, Royal Zoological Society and the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS). Curious About Our Planet is a free event, but registration may be required for some events. The festival is being delivered with support from the Inspiring Science Fund provided by Wellcome, UKRI and BEIS.
