Keith Anderson, Chief Executive of ScottishPower said: “The Prime Minister and Chancellor said they would act, and this package will help alleviate the worst of the price increases for the most vulnerable. 

“It was clear the size and scale of this crisis needed Government and industry to work together and this direct support for households on energy bills will go some way to help reduce the risk of self-disconnection or customers spiralling into unsustainable debt.

“It will come as a relief for many customers who have been distraught with worry about how they will pay their bills and ease some of the concern ahead of what will be a difficult winter.”
