ScottishPower Renewables’ Policy and Regulation Director, Kate Turner, has been reappointed to RenewableUK’s Board of Directors following the Board election last month.

Kate is responsible for ScottishPower’s onshore and offshore renewables projects, covering government energy policy, grid, planning, consenting and aviation matters across the UK and Ireland. 

She joins Anne-marie Coyle from GE Renewable Energy, Roisin Quinn from National Grid, and Andy Reay from Associated British Ports on the Board, which supports the trade association by guiding its strategy, setting priorities and ensuring they are delivered.

Kate said: “I’m proud to continue my role on the board of RenewableUK at a time when recent events have elevated the need to rapidly accelerate our transition to a low-carbon future and a net zero economy. More renewables is the quickest and cheapest way for us to make this happen, get more clean electricity on to the Grid and reach green energy security in the UK.

“RenewableUK is essential to furthering constructive engagement with policy makers to drive this deployment of renewables at pace, promote skills development and to support industry collaboration across all parts of the renewables industry value chain and its membership.”
