ScottishPower has launched its first tariff designed for customers who charge their electric vehicles at home. ‘Smart Green Electric Vehicle June 2020’ also provides 100% renewable energy, as well as a range of additional features.
To help customers locate their nearest charging point away from home, ScottishPower has introduced a new charge point finder into the company’s ‘YourEnergy’ App, expanding on the wider services already offered to customers via the App.
A new online section has also been developed to coincide with the new tariff, to provide customers with useful information and content. This includes cost comparisons and the latest up-to-date information on EVs, to blogs and posts from other EV drivers, helping to guide customers through the switch to electric.
ScottishPower also has a range of further developments in planning, as the company seeks to enhance their existing provision of home services, connected in-home services, and increased home protection.
Neil Clitheroe, CEO of Retail, said: “All analysis shows that the shift to electric vehicles will gather serious pace in the coming years, and customers quite rightly expect bespoke services to support them in their journey to electric.
“Our growing focus on electric vehicle services and bespoke tariffs reflects the exciting changes in the energy retail market, as we modernise and digitise the hardware and software that supports our customers.”
