Orbit Energy and Entice Energy customers move to ScottishPower

29/11/2021

ScottishPower has taken on Entice Energy’s customers (which comprises both Entice Energy Supply Limited and Simply Your Energy Limited) and Orbit Energy’s customers after being chosen as the Supplier of Last Resort by Ofgem following the collapse of over 20 energy suppliers since September.

Around 70,400 domestic energy customers will now move to ScottishPower as a result of the process run by Ofgem.

Entice Energy customers switch to ScottishPower from Sunday 28 November 2021 and Orbit Energy customers will switch to ScottishPower from Wednesday 1 December 2021. Outstanding credit balances, including money owed to both existing and former domestic customers of Entice and Orbit Energy will be honoured.

New customers will be contacted over the coming weeks as they begin to transfer across to ScottishPower. A dedicated phone line and call centre will be operational from Tuesday 30 November 2021 for Entice Energy customers and Wednesday 1 December 2021 for Orbit Energy customers.

Andrew Ward, ScottishPower CEO, UK Retail, said: “The past few months have been unprecedented and have caused a lot of customers great concern about their energy supply. We want to reassure our customers, current and new, that their energy supply is safe with us. We are a reliable, stable, integrated energy company with decades of experience generating 100% green energy and delivering Net Zero.

“We are committed to protecting our customers and providing them with a safe and sustainable energy service. The recent collapse of a number of suppliers shows the need for reform in the energy market to ensure suppliers participating in the sector do so in a way which is fair and transparent for customers.

“Our dedicated team is working tirelessly to make the transition for Entice Energy and Orbit Energy customers as smooth as possible and we will be in touch with our customers soon to discuss next steps but we urge them to be patient while we engage with the company’s administrator.”
