Severe Weather Compensation - 22/25 March 2013

29/03/2013

The severe weather which affected parts of south west Scotland and north Wales during the period 22nd to 25th March 2013 caused extensive damage to ScottishPower’s electricity distribution network across both of its licence areas, as well as creating difficulties for repair teams to access fault locations with some roads inaccessible due to large accumulations of snow.

SP Energy Networks greatly appreciate the patience shown by its customers during this difficult time and in line with the energy Regulator, Ofgem’s Guaranteed Standards covering such exceptional situations, will provide compensation to customers that were without electricity for more than 24 hours continuously.

SP Energy Networks will pro-actively contact all customers who are entitled to compensation shortly and further details will be published within the next few days.
