Hundreds of people came to Whitelee last week to help ScottishPower celebrate all things digital. We were joined by the Google Bus which has been touring the UK. This allowed us to run sessions for small local businesses and charities on how to improve their digital and social media presence. We also ran sessions for adults and children on how to stay safe on the internet including some great tips on how to make your passwords much more secure.

The ScottishPower marquee allowed us to showcase some of the great developments we have underway from smart meters to the development of new apps and products based round our digital platform. We also had some fun learning activities including Lego scrum which helps to improve communication, team building and development skills.
During the day, we were joined by Jackson Carlaw, MSP for Eastwood and Deputy Leader of the Scottish Conservative Party. This gave us a great opportunity to showcase all of the great work we are undertaking as a company, and in particular, the real benefits that can be delivered from the roll out of our smart metering technology and the important role that new onshore wind can continue to deliver for the UK.
