Following a productive meeting with Finance Secretary John Swinney, ScottishPower is set to work with the Scottish Government on a targeted £10 million programme to help improve energy efficiency in Scotland.
The energy company will work in partnership with The Scottish Government, local authorities and other agencies to help identify housing most in need of improvements and the best way to implement the scheme. Further details will be confirmed later this summer.
Raymond Jack ScottishPower UK Retail Director, said:
“We are looking forward to working with the Scottish Government and delivering a co-ordinated programme that will deliver energy efficiency measures and bring real benefits to those in need. The Scottish Government will help us target communities to improve energy efficiency and work on a street by street, home by home basis.”
