Commenting on Ofgem’s announcement regarding changes to Transmission charging methodology, a ScottishPower spokesperson said:

“We have long believed that the current transmission charging system is not in the interest of either customers nor the efficient deployment of renewable energy.  We therefore welcome Ofgem’s decision to implement the recommendations of the working group to improve the way charges are calculated and look forward to the new system coming into force in April 2016.”
