ScottishPower has announced a new relationship with Cancer Research UK, the cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. As part of this relationship, Cancer Research UK will be ScottishPower’s principal charity for the next three years, with the aim of raising over £5m to help beat cancer.
As well as raising much needed funds towards the life-saving research which could help more people survive cancer in the future, ScottishPower will also work with Cancer Research UK to share healthy living messages with their customers and employees to help reduce the risk of cancer.
A new ‘Help Beat Cancer Discounted Energy’ product is also being launched. The product, which will be available to order from February 10th, will give customers a guaranteed discount of 3% below ScottishPower’s standard monthly Direct Debit prices until 31st December 2014. For every customer that signs up, ScottishPower will donate £15 to Cancer Research UK, and a further £10* for every year that the customer stays on the product. The product will have no cancellation charge. ScottishPower will also be the Official Energy Sponsor of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life – the UK’s largest women only fundraising event.
